New way to create a Sleak Spud Cannon |
One day, After Shooting my brothers Spud Gun/Cannon (basic in design using a 3" PVC chamber, and a 2" barrel and using a lantern ligter) I decided that it was time to go extreme and create one that looked and fealt like a real gun. Several days later, and a few failed tries, This was the finished product of the concept I had.
This gun fires on average a potato to 327 yards using a 1 1/2" x48" barrel on a 45 degree angle using only Right Guard deodorant. I also have a silenced barrel. Though the silenced barrell shoots on a range of 200 yards, you cannot hear a thing but a little ploomp as the potato soars from the end of the barrel.
I am very pleased with my achievements. However, It is time to move on! I am looking to build a simple design pneumatic air cannon. I want to use an irrigation valve but without batteries. Any help on how to assemble the compressor air blower to the valve and for the removal of the solenoid would be greatly appreciated.

Anyway. I have plans for the spud gun in the picture. Email me at nick@spudgunextreme.com for the plans, or visit my website at www.spudgunextreme.com. There is a kicking video of me shooting my combustion or pneumatic plan. For those plans see my site the combustion plan and pneumatic plans have how to's, specific parts list, pictures, and detailed instructions on putting it together. Any feedback would be welcomed. Thanks.
