This water balloon launcher can launch any size balloon close to 400 feet. And, it is completely silent for unexpected bombardments!

This is my sweet water balloon launcher. It is eight feet tall, and three feet wide. It is anchored to the ground to four earth anchors, each rated to 1200 pounds. The only thing hindering  the distance of the balloons is the friction between your feet and the ground as you pull it back. We have tried walking backwards on a ladder, and it worked beautifully to up the distance greatly. We plan to increase the size of the bands soon. In total, the project cost me close to $100. Well worth it if you ask me!

That's pretty intense. A couple questions... did you have any sort of handle on the pouch to hold on to? Did you have to double-bag balloons to prevent the balloon from exploding during launch?

their was a rope handle which allowed for the blue pouch to hold the balloons without smashing them. Here's how it works. The blue pouch has the top and bottom folded over and sewn at the corners. The green slings are fed through the holes in the corners. A piece of rope is fed across the top and bottom slings. When you pull back on the rope handle, the blue pouch does not have any strain on it.

The water balloons do not need to be double bagged. The blue pouch forms such a perfect fit (adjusts to balloon size automatically), that this is not needed. You can also launch fruit and rocks for impact testing.
