I made a couple of air cannons out of steel pipe. Managed to shoot a potato over 250MPH and over 600 feet!

We built 30 foot tall trebuchet like device for people. It was counterbalanced with over 1000 pounds of concrete and had over 180 degrees of rotation.

We built two 6' tall quarterpipes with vertical walls with the intention of making a halfpipe for skateboarding. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful in joining the two and instead just used them as standalone quaterpipes.

Convert the 1.5 Liter 7-11 Extreme Gulp into a 3 liter refill machine - simply dremel out the insulation.

A fluorescent light starter in series with an incandescent light bulb makes a cool flickering light effect - useful for making a cheap strobe, Halloween haunted house effect, or simulate flakey wiring.

We built a giant 5 story swing that spans the paralles of our dorm. You get drawn up to the bottom of the 4th story then pull a pin to release yourself and swing.
