A sailboat that we built most of, but are still building, out of luan plywood, fiberglass, epoxy, and a little mahogany. Mostly plywood though. It's an outrigger canoe modeled roughly after a proa, but with a more western style hull shape and sail.

We built a 15 foot tall (30 foot extended) trebuchet and fired water balloons and other similar projectiles.

I welded part of an old broken frame onto some new aircraft tubing to make a nice track bike to get around town on. I then painted it yellow...

a homemade fiberglass wind turbine. In 5mph winds it sits still. At 10 mph it's spinning at something like 100 rpm! also included: homebuilt permanent magnet generator.

it's like a normal recumbent, only faster, lower, harder to ride, and with front wheel drive through a two stage drive system.
